# PrusaSlicer (open-source CAD and 3D modelling app)

> PrusaSlicer is a free, open-source CAD and 3D modelling app for Windows, macOS and Linux. G-code generator for 3D printers (RepRap, Makerbot, Ultimaker etc.). It has 9,389 GitHub stars and is released under the AGPL-3.0 license, and people use it instead of Simplify3D.

PrusaSlicer enables you to take your 3D models, generate 3D printing instructions and send them to your 3D printer. It supports both FDM 3D printers and mSLA 3D printers. It is developed by Prusa Research and apart from Prusa printers it supports machines from a wide variety of manufacturers.
